If you’re after the best Galaxy Z Flip 5 deals right now, depending on how you’re looking to get Samsung’s foldable, you’ll either be completely disappointed or ecstatic. While the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is on sale in some cases, the discounts aren’t the lowest we’ve seen, but carriers are offering excellent trade-in deals that can get you one of the best foldable phones to date for free.

While Samsung itself isn’t discounting the phone, it is offering up to $600 instant trade-in credit for qualifying devices. This may sound good, but considering what other retailers and carriers are offering, it’s not the best deal on the Galaxy Z Flip 5 you’ll find right now. Both Amazon and Best Buy are discounting the phone by up to $170, so purchasing one outright is better through either of these retailers.

However, if you’re looking to switch carriers, then you are in luck. AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile are all offering the Galaxy Z Flip 5 free with eligible trade-ins and plans, making this the best way to get your hands on one of the best Samsung phones available for an excellent price.

Since it is just the start of 2024, it may be best to hold out a little longer to see if better Galaxy Z Flip 5 deals arrive in the coming months. The savings right now, while decent, will most likely be outshined by deals that arrive closer to Memorial Day. However, if you absolutely must have one now, these are the best Galaxy Z Flip 5 deals you’ll find today.

Foldable phones in general have been a bit of a niche product. However, recent iterations have shown that they can be solid everyday devices that are as durable and reliable as standard phones are. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is a good example of how to make a foldable phone right and is one of the best Android phones available in this form factor. Combining a durable design with powerful hardware, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 delivers an experience that’s worth the price of entry and outclasses competing foldables, like the new Razr+, in many ways.

What’s the difference between the Z Flip 4 and 5?

We did a direct comparison of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 vs the Galaxy Z Flip 4, and there are a few major differences that help the latest model come out on top. The new Galaxy Z Flip 5 features a larger 3.4-inch Flex Window that offers a much more versatile and engaging experience, and is much more capable than the Galaxy Z Flip 4’s outer screen.

The hardware has also been improved, stepping up from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for improved performance. The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is faster and more responsive overall, which is critical to the responsiveness of both the inner and outer displays.
