It remains up to you whether you want to construct it before a battle or not. Houses cost less than towers to be built. In the initial phase, the enemies aren’t that strong, so build houses, plenty of them first, while you can battle the enemies on your own.
2. Build adequate Towers
Defense towers shoot arrows toward your enemies. Build them to strengthen your base. But as said, prioritize building village houses first. Defense towers can be built at the later stages when you have collected decent money from the initial waves. Once you have enough money and played a few waves, you can also upgrade the towers for additional attack and HP.
3. Keep upgrading your Castle
None of the above two points can be practiced unless you upgrade the central castle. When you manage to earn 20 coins from the waves, upgrade your castle.
