Genshin Impact Navia Pre-Farm Guide

Genshin Impact Version 4.3 debuts the first Geo character in over two years, “Helm of the Radiant Rose” Navia (geo/claymore). This guide will explain everything about how to build Navia and play her in her best teams in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact Navia Guide: Abilities description

Talent upgrade priority

Elemental Skill > Elemental Burst

Only level her Normal Attack if you want to play her as an on-field attacker.

Normal Attack: Blunt Refusal

Normal Attack

Performs up to 4 consecutive strikes.

Charged Attack

Drains Stamina over time to perform continuous spinning attacks against all nearby opponents.
At the end of the sequence, performs a more powerful slash.

Plunging Attack

Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact.

Elemental Skill: Ceremonial Crystalshot

When a character in the party obtains an Elemental Shard created from the Crystallize reaction, Navia will gain 1 Crystal Shrapnel stack. Navia can have up to 6 stacks of Crystal Shrapnel at once. Each time Crystal Shrapnel gain is triggered, the duration of the Crystal Shrapnel stacks you already have will be reset.
When she fires, Navia will consume all Crystal Shrapnel stacks and open her elegant yet lethal Gunbrella, firing multiple Rosula Shardshots that can penetrate opponents, dealing Geo DMG to opponents hit.

When 0/1/2/3 or more stacks of Crystal Shrapnel are consumed, 5/7/9/11 Rosula Shardshots will be fired respectively. The more Rosula Shardshots that strike a single opponent, the greater the DMG dealt to them. When all 11 Rosula Shardshots strike, 200% of the original amount of DMG is dealt.
In addition, when more than 3 stacks of Crystal Shrapnel are consumed, every stack consumed beyond those 3 will increase the DMG dealt by this Gunbrella attack by an additional 15%.

Hold

  • Enter Aiming Mode, continually collecting nearby Elemental Shards created by Crystallize reactions. When released, fire Rosula Shardshots with the same effect as when the skill is Tapped.
  • Two initial charges.

Arkhe: Ousia

Periodically, when Navia fires her Gunbrella, a Surging Blade will be summoned, dealing Ousia-aligned Geo DMG.

Elemental Burst: As the Sunlit Sky’s Singing Salute

On the orders of the President of the Spina di Rosula, call for a magnificent Rosula Dorata Salute. Unleashes a massive cannon bombardment on opponents in front of her, dealing AoE Geo DMG and providing Cannon Fire Support for a duration afterwards, periodically dealing Geo DMG to nearby opponents.

When cannon attacks hit opponents, Navia will gain 1 stack of Crystal Shrapnel. This effect can be triggered up to once every 2.4s.

Ascension 1 Passive: Undisclosed Distribution Channels

For 4s after using Ceremonial Crystalshot, the DMG dealt by Navia’s Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks, and Plunging Attacks will be converted into Geo DMG which cannot be overridden by other Elemental infusions, and the DMG dealt by Navia’s Normal Attacks, Charged Attacks, and Plunging Attacks will be increased by 40%.

Ascension 4 Passive: Mutual Assistance Network

For each Pyro/Electro/Cryo/Hydro party member, Navia gains 20% increased ATK. This effect can stack up to 2 times.

Utility Passive: Painstaking Transaction

Gains 25% more rewards when dispatched on a Fontaine Expedition for 20 hours.

Genshin Impact Navia Guide: Abilities explained

Normal Attack: Blunt Refusal

Nothing special about her Normal attacks.

Elemental Skill: Ceremonial Crystalshot

When anyone in the party picks up a Crystalize shard, Navia gains 1 stack of Crystal Shrapnel for a maximum of 6. When she taps the Skill, all Shrapnels are consumed and Rosula Shardshots will be fired by her Gunbrella. Consuming 0/1/2/3 Shrapnels will fire 5/7/9/11 Shardshots. At 3 Shrapnel stacks, the DMG of her Skill will be doubled. In addition, each Shrapnel stack beyond 3 will increase the DMG by 15%.

The number of Shrapnel stacks is shown as 3 bullet icons next to her. The 4th, 5th, and 6th stacks are indicated by making the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd bullets bigger. Ideally, you should have at least 3 Shrapnel stacks before using this Skill.

The hold version of this Skill enters aiming mode and collects nearby Crystalize shards to be turned into Shrapnel stacks and consumed. The Shardshots can penetrate enemies so try to position yourself in a way that it can hit multiple enemies in a line.

Elemental Burst: As the Sunlit Sky’s Singing Salute

An instant hit of AOE Geo DMG followed by Geo “cannon fire” from the sky for 12s. When enemies are hit by the Geo attacks, they can generate Shrapnel stacks for her Skill. The DMG of these attacks is not that high but the main purpose of her Burst is to generate stacks for her Skill anyway. One interesting thing about her Burst is that it doesn’t have a fixed AOE, it simply follows Navia and hits enemies near her.

Ascension 1 Passive: Undisclosed Distribution Channels

Navia gains a very short Geo infusion which allows her to be played as an on-field attacker albeit for a short while.

Ascension 4 Passive: Mutual Assistance Network

Navia gains 10% extra ATK for each Pyro/Electro/Cryo/Hydro teammate, up to two times for a total of 20% extra ATK. It works even if they are both the same element, the elements don’t have to be unique. Navia benefits from having at least 2 characters whose elements can trigger Crystalize.

Utility Passive: Painstaking Transaction

Extra materials from Fontaine expeditions is a pretty cool passive.

Genshin Impact Navia Guide: Playstyle

Navia has a quick-swap playstyle. Here are the tips to play her properly in Genshin Impact.

  • Use Navia’s Burst
  • Cycle through teammates’ Skills and Bursts
  • Use Navia’s Skill after picking up all the Crystalize shards or use her hold Skill

Genshin Impact Navia Guide: Materials

As a Geo character, Navia uses Prithiva Topaz stones for ascension and they can be obtained from the Geo Hypostasis. Her other ascension material, Artificed Spare Clockwork Component — Coppelius can be obtained from the Icewind Suite. The boss materials for her talents can be obtained from the All-Devouring Narwhal weekly boss. Players can check this out for a detailed breakdown of Navia’s materials

Serpent Spine Base ATK: 510
2nd stat: 27.6% CRIT rate

Reason:
At high refinements, this one is competitive with 5* choices. Requires a shielder to maintain the passive’s uptime

Talking Stick Base ATK: 565
2nd stat: 18.4% CRIT rate

Reason:
Requires an elemental aura on Navia to activate the passive, Bennett is a good teammate for that requirement

Sacrificial Greatsword Base ATK: 565
2nd stat: 30.6% ER

Reason:

Genshin Impact Navia Guide: Best Artifacts for Navia

Navia needs anywhere between 120% and 160% to be able to use her Burst every rotation. Ideally, try to reach her ER needs from substats. If there are no Geo teammates and Navia is struggling to charge her Burst on time, you can use an ER weapon like the Favonius Greatsword or the Sacrificial Greatsword.

and

2-Piece Bonus

Marechaussee Hunter 2-Piece Bonus
Normal and Charged Attack DMG +15%.

4-Piece Bonus
When current HP increases or decreases, the CRIT Rate will be increased by 12% for 5s. Max 3 stacks.

Reason:
When paired with Furina who can drain Navia’s HP, she will gain a CRIT rate. This makes it easier to build CRIT DMG on her.

and

Golden Troupe

2-Piece Bonus

Reason:
ATK+18% from any of the five sets mentioned will boost Navia’s overall DMG meanwhile the 20% Elemental Skill DMG from Golden Troupe is pretty significant sinct her Skill is the main source of her DMG.

Navia’s best artifact set is the 4pc Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods. The 4pc Marechaussee Hunter is also a good option if she has Furina as a teammate. Moreover, any set that gives ATK+18% for the 2pc bonus can be paired with a 2pc Golden Troupe.

Genshin Impact Navia Guide: Best Team Compositions for Navia

Navia can be used in a multitude of teams as long as the other teammates can consistently trigger Crystalize. Unlike Arataki Itto, Navia isn’t designed to work in a Mono Geo team so Gorou is not a good support for her. Navia wants to have Pyro/Electro/Cryo/Hydro characters on her team so they can trigger Crystalize. Having at least 2 characters from these elements (they both can be the same element) grants Navia a maximum of 20% increased ATK.

Zhongli is a great teammate for Navia since he activates Geo Resonance which grants a Geo RES shred as well as a DMG bonus. Bennett acts as a healer as well as a battery to Xoiangling. He also triggers Crystalize. Xiangling is the main Crystalize trigger of this team, she also brings her own Pyro DMG to the table. The Albedo variant of this team will have inconsistent uptime on the benefits of Geo Resonance since it requires a shield to be activated. It will still work because of Crystalize shields. The Ningguang variant of this team will benefit from the Geo DMG bonus provided by her Jade Screen.

Navia Zhongli/Albedo Bennett Furina
Geo main DPS Geo Resonance/Shield Healer/ATK buffer Hydro DMG/Crystalize trigger/DMG bonus%

This team functions similarly to the previous one except this one benefits from Furina’s DMG bonus% as well as her Hydro DMG. The Albedo variant of this team will have inconsistent uptime on the benefits of Geo Resonance since it requires a shield to be activated. It will still work because of Crystalize shields. The Ningguang variant of this team will benefit from the Geo DMG bonus provided by her Jade Screen.

Navia Noelle Yelan/Xinqiu Furina
Geo main DPS Geo Resonance/Shield/Healing Hydro DMG/Crystalize trigger/DMG bonus% (Yelan only) Hydro DMG/Crystalize trigger/DMG bonus%

This team benefits from the DMG bonus% from both Yelan and Furina, while both of them contribute Hydro DMG. Noelle is the healer of the team and since her Burst has a large AOE, she can also help trigger Crystalize. The Xinqiu variant of this team will lose out on the DMG bonus% from Yelan.

Navia Yae Miko Bennett Fischl
Geo main DPS Electro DMG/Crystalise trigger Healer/ATK buffer Electro DMG/Crystalise trigger

Yae Miko and Fischl both have fast Electro attacks which constantly keep triggering Crystalize.
