While the variety of heroes adds more excitement and thrill to the game, it can still be overwhelming when deciding which five heroes to recruit in your team to clear the stages more easily. Journey of Monarch Hero Tier List: Best Heroes Ranked

I have prepared this list by categorizing the heroes into main types: Defensive, Melee, Ranged, and Magic. To make it simple, I have further divided them into four major tiers: Super Strong (SSS), Strong (S), Good (A), and Average (B). This list includes only the Hero and Legendary ranked heroes, as they are the most strongest characters in the game.

Best Heroes in Journey of Monarch

Best Defensive Hero – Kurtz

Kurtz is a formidable defensive hero renowned for his high durability and damage output. He is great as a frontline unit, capable of tanking significant damage, while also dealing substantial damage to the monsters and bosses.

Although he lacks elemental attacks, he stands out among the defensive heroes with his impressive tanking and damage potential, delivering 200% Attack damage with basic attacks, which only Artebalt can do apart from him, another SSS pick according to me. Additionally, with his Shield strike, he can inflict 600% attack power damage to the hit target, the highest among the defensive heroes.

Best Melee Hero – Dantes

Dantes, a Wind Element hero, is among the strongest melee heroes in the game. His basic attack deals 215% damage to any target, and his Critical Attack is especially impressive, inflicting 325% damage, while amplifying all allies’ damage by 14% for 3 turns, which is helpful.

His active skill, Shadow Vampire, allows him to move 3 meters behind the nearest enemy, dealing a massive 650% damage while entering stealth for 5 seconds. Additionally, it increases his attack speed by 18% for 3 seconds, making him very effective at dealing heavy damage to bosses. Arc Shadow is another great option, and if you are lucky enough to acquire either of the two, do utilize them.

Best Ranged Hero – Gillean

When it comes to ranged heroes, Gillean and Dryad are the best options. Gillean uses the Water Element, while Dryad uses the Earth Element for her attacks. Among the ranged heroes, Gillean has the highest basic Attack Damage, dealing 208% damage to his targets.

Even his Critical Attack is equally powerful, inflicting 313% Attack Damage to targets, and it also decreases his cooldown by 20% for 10 seconds, if the attacks are successful. As a ranged hero, he is positioned in the back row, where his role is to consistently deal damage and support the team, and he does this job perfectly.

With his active skill, Luna Shower, he can deal 175% attack damage to all enemies within 3 meters of range, making it ideal for clearing enemy hordes. On top of that, this skill also increases all allies’ Critical Hit rate by 16% for 3 seconds, which is very effective during battles.

Best Magic Hero – Arc Wizard

I feel that most of the legendary Magic-class heroes are powerful and versatile, making them a great addition to the team. For instance, Elruion’s active skill, Heal All, restores 16% HP to all allies, which is crucial during boss fights, while Capricus’s active skill, Abyss Eruption deals 625% damage and reduces the target’s critical hit resistance by 16% for 3 seconds, which works great with Gillean in the team.

However, I believe Arc Wizard is a better option among all of them. Specializing in Water Element attacks, his basic attack deals 158% damage to targets, which may seem decent compared to the other Magic heroes, but his Critical attack compensates by dealing 263% damage while boosting all the allies’ damage resistance by 8% for 3 seconds.

What sets him apart from the others is his active skill, Disintegrate, which inflicts 625% of his attack power as damage to his target. Additionally, if the attack succeeds, it applies an over-time damage effect that deals 1.6% of the target’s maximum HP as damage every second for 3 seconds. This makes a great choice to battle against bosses, as they have high HP.

Final Thoughts

In conclusion, this hero tier list is designed to help you clear the stages efficiently by building a powerful team of heroes, consisting of Legendary and Hero-ranked characters. However, remember that what works for others, might not work for you, so feel free to experiment with them and find the team composition that suits your playstyle and strategy the best.

Moreover, since Gacha games rely on luck, you might not always get the top-tier heroes, so make the most of the heroes you get. This is a tier list I crafted, based on my experience after playing the game for countless hours and clearing over 200 stages.
