Genshin Impact 4.5 Spiral Abyss Floor 11

Genshin Impact Version 4.5 update has brought a new set of enemies for both Floor 11 in the Spiral Abyss. Since these are the topmost floors of the Abyss, ensure that you have units that are at least sufficiently built for the teams they are in. In this guide, we will explain the new changes in the current Spiral Abyss, how to clear them in the current Genshin Impact 4.5 patch update, and the most optimal teams that can be used.

First Half

  • In the initial wave, all foes emerge in the frontal zone. Right from the get-go, the Mitachurl charges towards you with its shield. It’s recommended that you target the advancing Mitachurl and draw the attention of the four Hilichurls. Lead them all towards the rear area because that’s where the next wave will appear.
  • For the second wave, it’s a repeat of the first lineup of enemies, but they spawn at the back. Again, prioritize the Mitachurl as the smaller foes trail after you.
  • In the third wave, enemies appear on both your left and right. Head towards the left and focus on taking down the Samachurl before it erects a Geo construct, affecting all three left-sided enemies. If the pillars are formed, swiftly obliterate them using Geo attacks.
  • Moving to the fourth wave is a redux of the third wave’s enemy lineup (with Cryo Shooter replaced by Electro Shooter), but they appear on the opposite side. Repeat the strategy: concentrate on the Samachurl while the other adversaries pursue you relentlessly.

Second Half

  • During the first wave, expect all enemies to emerge at the forefront. It’s beneficial to have an Anemo character with crowd-control capabilities since some of the Shrooms tend to leap forward, potentially catching you off guard. However, it’s manageable; as they persistently chase you, you can deal with them one by one.
  • In the second wave, enemies spawn exclusively in the rear area. Each adversary comes equipped with elemental shields, making it advantageous to employ an Anemo character to nullify their defenses. Alternatively, Geo characters excel here due to the ley line disorder and their ability to deplete elemental shields. It is recommended to counter with opposing elements to swiftly dismantle their shields.

Chamber 2

First Half

  • In the initial wave, you’ll find yourself surrounded by Xuanwen Beasts as soon as the challenge begins. Keep in mind that these enemies boast a 50% resistance against Hydro and Anemo, so tread carefully. However, they’re particularly vulnerable to freezing techniques. Freezing a Xuanwen Beast and then following up with Shatter, Melt, Superconduct, Swirl, or Crystallize attacks will dispel the Frozen aura and render them paralyzed.
  • These elite foes are swift movers, making it essential to act fast. It is recommended to maneuver to either the left or right wall and corral them into a single spot (they’re not as easily staggered as Vishaps).
  • In the second wave, adversaries will spawn on both the left and right sides of the arena, emphasizing the importance of positioning near either wall. Upon spawning, the Annihilation Meka will summon a smaller Meka before giving chase, while the Assault Meka will immediately pursue you.
  • Given their Pneuma classification, hitting them with Ousia attacks twice will temporarily immobilize them. However, brute force becomes the primary option if you lack an Ousia-character.

Second Half

  • In the initial wave, brace yourself for a lone Concentrated enemy positioned in the front area. Sporting a color scheme indicative of its high Dendro resistance, it’s wise to steer clear of bringing a Dendro DPS (and Fire DPS for the subsequent Concentrated enemy).
  • At a certain point, this enemy will summon a Phagocytic Energy Block. It’s imperative to focus your elemental attacks on this block until its bar is filled. This will grant you Phagocytic energy, which you can then use to strike the Concentrated enemy and render it paralyzed. However, if left unattended for too long, the beast will reabsorb the Phagocytic Energy Block and transform into its more formidable Phagocytic Form.
  • Destroying the Phagocytic Energy Block requires either a single Dendro attack or six non-Dendro elemental attacks. Additionally, aside from its high Dendro resistance, this enemy maintains a constant 50% resistance against Freeze, dampening the effectiveness of the Frozen Elemental Reaction.
  • Moving on to the second wave, anticipate encountering another Concentrated enemy in the rear area, this time aligned with Pyro attributes and boasting high Pyro resistance. Similar to its predecessor, utilizing the Phagocytic Energy Block to induce paralysis is advisable.

Chamber 3

First Half

  • In this singular wave, brace yourself as two veteran phantasms emerge side by side in the front area.
  • Both these phantasms mirror the Local Legend encounters found in Fontaine, immediately entering an Enraged State upon spawning and remaining in that state indefinitely. While in this heightened state, their attacks become more potent, and they gain immunity against being Frozen.
  • Of the two, the Water-Spouting phantasm is slightly slower than its counterpart, the Water-Splitting one. At the onset of the challenge, position yourself near the Water-Spouting phantasm on the right side and provoke the Water-Splitting phantasm to chase after you. Once they draw close to each other, focus on dealing damage while evading incoming attacks (unless you possess a shield) to minimize damage taken.
  • Should you manage to defeat one of the phantasms, it will not be resurrected unless you fail to defeat the remaining one within a limited timeframe. So, rest assured, once down, they stay down.

Second Half

  • In the first and sole wave, all enemies materialize in the front area. As you initiate the challenge, position yourself in the front area and take cover behind the Arithmetic Meka (the central one). This tactic significantly increases the likelihood of swiftly redirecting the attention of the two elite Mekas toward your position instead of them aimlessly roaming around.
  • Once you’ve vanquished the Arithmetic Meka, prioritize targeting the nearest Construction Meka (as corralling them into one spot can be rather unpredictable) before moving on to tackle the remaining one. Since these two are of the elite variety, employing Pneuma attacks twice is necessary to paralyze them. However, if you haven’t brought along any Pneuma attacks, resort to sheer force to overcome them.

Optimal Team Comps to use on Floor 11 in Genshin Impact 4.5 Update Spiral Abyss

For the First Half, every element except Hydro and Anemo (with Geo being the top choice) is recommended. This is primarily due to the presence of Local Legends Phantasm in the 3rd chamber, rendering Hydro DPS ineffective. Additionally, the Xuanwen Beast in the 2nd chamber exhibits high resistance against Hydro and Anemo elements.

Another effective strategy is to include a claymore user in your team. In the 1st chamber, numerous enemies are shielded with rock, and the most efficient method to break through these defenses is by utilizing blunt attacks: claymore strikes, plunging attacks (excluding bow and catalyst), and Geo attacks.

For the Second Half, like the first, most elements work well. However, Pyro and Dendro may have a slight disadvantage because the Consecrated enemies in chamber 2 exhibit a minor resistance to their respective elements in their Phagocytic Form. Nevertheless, if you prefer to use these elements as DPS, it’s still viable as long as you have other elements to trigger reactions. Anemo crowd control isn’t particularly necessary since only the 1st chamber benefits from it. However, if you prefer to include Anemo characters, feel free to do so.
