Brawl Stars October 2024 update reworks the Trophy Season Reset, brings new reward Tiers and more
- Brawl Stars is introducing a new reward called the Trophy Box.
- There will be two leaderboards per brawler, the Seasonal Leaderboard and an All-time Leaderboard.
- The Trophy season will have 50 tiers now.
In the upcoming October 2024 update, Brawl Stars is revamping the Trophy Season Reset to create a new system that’s more enjoyable, welcoming to casuals, and rewarding for players. These updates are designed to improve the overall gameplay experience.
The Brawl Star season ends every four weeks and your top 10 Brawlers with over 500 Trophies will lose some trophies, and in return, you receive Bling. This Bling can be used to purchase Brawler skins, and other cosmetics from the shop.
Brawl Stars October 2024 Update: Trophy Season Reset Rework
The new Trophy Season Reset rework will have the following changes:
- The game will now feature 50 tiers along with a simplified system.
- You will now receive a new Trophy Box instead of just earning Bling at the end of each season.
- Changes have been made to matchmaking, which will be most noticeable after reaching 1000 Brawler Trophies.
- The devs have now introduced two types of leaderboards: A Seasonal Leaderboard and an All-Time Leaderboard.
- Additionally, your previous achievements will be preserved.
Revamping the Trophy Season
Brawl Stars is overhauling the whole Trophy Season Reset due to many problems with the current system that hinder the gameplay experience. Issues with the current system:
- The system is overly complicated and not particularly enjoyable to grind.
- The current rewards don’t justify the effort put into grinding for trophies.
- It also discourages players from using their favorite Brawlers as it becomes too challenging to push them.
- Additionally, matchmaking takes too long at high-level Trophy Matches.
The developers’ goal with this revamp is to introduce a new system that clarifies the system without necessarily simplifying it, while also making it more enjoyable for players. They aim to create a more welcoming system for casual players and a more rewarding experience for trophy grinders. They plan to make the game more engaging and reduce the difficulties of playing high-trophy brawlers.
Introducing new Tiers with more exciting and better rewards
Brawl Stars is implementing numerous changes with this rework to create a more intuitive and rewarding Trophy system while maintaining the same level of effort you currently invest in the game. When the update goes live, there will be a total of 50 tiers in the game, with the highest tier now referred to as Max. To reach this tier with a Brawler, you will need to achieve 1000 trophies.
The new Trophy System will coincide with the Brawl Season pass and you will advance to the next tier for every 20 trophies you earn. And the Trophy Season reset will bring all Brawlers back to 1000 trophies which is a great approach. I am particularly excited about the adjustments to Trophy gain and loss as it will be more forgiving for players under 1000 trophies.
Additionally, there won’t be any trophy resets for Brawlers below that threshold which is a great improvement if you think about it. You will only begin to lose more trophies than you gain after reaching 1100 trophies with your Brawler.
Benefits for reaching 1000 trophies and beyond
I don’t know about you all, but I am grinding for more trophies when this update goes live. Here’s what is waiting for you when you reach 1000 trophies:
- You will reach the highest tier, Max after obtaining 1000 trophies.
- The trophies you earn after reaching 1000 trophies will still count, but they will now be classified as Season Trophies, which will help you obtain a new reward, The Trophy Box.
- The good news is that the base-level Trophy Box unlocks for anyone who has acquired at least 1,500 total trophies, but you will need to grind for 1000 trophies with your Brawler to advance further.
The new trophy reward, Trophy Box will be replacing Bling
Brawl Stars is introducing a new reward called the Trophy Box, which you will receive instead of just earning Bling at the end of each season. In my opinion, this new reward will motivate players to play more.
You can unlock the new Trophy box once your Brawler reaches 1000 trophies or if you have acquired 1500 total Trophies. You will primarily receive cosmetics from the Trophy Box, including a guaranteed skin, and you may also receive a Mythic, Legendary, or Hypercharge skin, as well as gems, depending on the level of the box.
Now, any trophies earned beyond 1000 are referred to as Season Trophies, and these trophies help you level up your Trophy Box. The Trophy Box has five levels, Small, Big, Mega, Omega, and Ultra. I am grinding for Ultra as it offers better and more rewards. Please note that the existing Tier upgrade rewards will be removed with the introduction of the new system, but you will receive more Bling in return.
New Matchmaking Changes
Changes have also been made to matchmaking, primarily focusing on matches after 1000 Brawler trophies. Now, matchmaking will take Brawler Trophies into account and attempt to match players with similar Trophy counts. This makes matchmaking more fair for players as you won’t be placed in lobbies with a huge trophy differential.
You will be in the same matchmaking pool with other players if you earn more than 1000 Trophies. This change should help with the high matchmaking times in high Trophy Brawler matches. This is a great change as no one wants to wait long for unfair matchmaking that used to happen in the old system.
Another minor change is that Win Streaks will be linked to individual Brawlers, making Trophy grinding more fair. Your highest Win Streak record will still be saved in your profile. I love flexing those win streaks.
Two different Leaderboards for each Brawler
The new Trophy System will introduce two leaderboards for each Brawler to the game, a Seasonal Leaderboard that gets reset every season and an All-Time Leaderboard that will track your highest Trophy count ever reached with your favorite Brawlers.
Now, you will also get a Prestige Icon in your profile for reaching the Top and entering the Seasonal Leaderboard. There will be a number in the Prestige icon which will increase each time you place in the Top per season. And regarding the previous Trophy records, they will remain in the All-Time Leaderboard, until someone beats them. So don’t let anyone beat your records.
Regarding your Previous achievements
With the new Trophy System, your achievements will be permanent, and you will also receive rewards for your past achievements:
- For instance, you will be rewarded with a unique Pin if you have at least one Brawler at Tier 35.
- If you are a tryhard like me and have at least 10 brawlers at Tier 35 before the rework, you will get an exclusive title for your hard work.
- Additionally, you will still get the title if you’ve had Brawlers at Tier 35 in previous Seasons, but not in the current one.
These changes will be introduced with the new October Update at the end of the month. Keep in mind that some minor details may still change by the time the update arrives in the game.
