- Two new collaborations are set to arrive in Brawl Stars in 2025.
- All Brawlers will have Hypercharge with the update, but there won’t be a Power Level 12.
- The Mastery System, Trophy Road and Map Maker will get a revamp.
Supercell has recently revealed a 2025 Roadmap for Brawl Stars, featuring new collaborations, additional permanent features, new brawlers, and a map revamp among other updates. The future of Brawl Stars looks very promising with the new Roadmap, which includes exciting updates like more time-limited events, collabs, more permanent features, quality-of-life improvements, and major updates every four months or revamps of existing ones.
Breaking down the update Roadmap for Brawl Stars in 2024/25
Brawl Stars will keep featuring time-limited events and collaborations with major brands, which I believe is an excellent strategy by the devs to attract new players and re-engage returning ones like me. So we can expect more events like the Godzilla and Spongebob SquarePants collaborations in the game.
The developers arenāt stopping with just time-limited events and collaborations, they also plan to introduce smaller permanent fixes and quality-of-life enhancements with each update coming in 2025. This includes performance improvements, bug fixes, easier brawler selection in ranked matches, and various other upgrades.
As mentioned above, they also plan to introduce a new major feature or revamp underperforming ones every four months to make them more engaging, following this general structure throughout 2025. Itās not just 2025, Brawl Stars has also plans for the few remaining months of 2024, and plans to add the following changes and improvements:
October 2024: Introducing a new Trophy System and the Trophy Box
The game is bringing a new time-limited event that was already planned and the developers promise that it will be a fun experience. The event features a battle between Mortis and Edgar. A new Trophy System is launching at the end of this month bringing various changes and rewards.
Trophies will now reset only after reaching 1000 trophies, making it easier for you to hit that milestone. Additionally, a new unique reward called the Trophy Box will be introduced, offering you a chance to obtain skins, some of which cannot be obtained with Bling. The game will also feature a new leaderboard besides the existing one. You can get more info about Brawl Starsā upcoming October update here.
December 2024: Mystery Update
As the developers mentioned, something significant is coming to Starr Park, but they are not revealing any further details as of now. So, stay tuned to this space for more information about it.
Now coming to the main topic, the developers have planned numerous updates for 2025. So letās explore them one by one. Do note, that these are not concrete plans and are subject to change.
February 2025: New ways to incorporate Esports into Brawl Stars
In the first update of 2025, developers are focusing on further integrating ranked and Esports within the game. If you achieve good progress in Ranked matches, it will open an additional door to enter the Brawl Stars Championship. They are drawing inspiration from other games to bring these features to the game.
Supercell has recently revealed that they plan to increase the budget for Brawl Esports in 2025 in their recent Time to Explain Podcast. They are also improving Ranked as a whole to make it more competitive, making a smoother transition from casual to pro play, and introducing quality-of-life improvements, such as a guaranteed ranked skin after getting certain numbers of Ranked Drops. They will also introduce a new collaboration.
June 2025: Plans to overhaul the Mastery System or Trophy Road
In June, they plan to revamp either the Mastery System, the Trophy Road, or perhaps both. They aim to integrate the Starr Park lore into the Trophy Road. This will be exciting given the many cool stories from the Starr Park lore.
Developers are also hinting at a revamp of achievements, along with a collaboration set to launch this month. Additionally, every Brawler will receive Hypercharge with this update.
August 2025: Improving Power Points and Level-up System
Unfortunately, Power Level 12 is not coming to the game although every Brawler will have a Hypercharge. However, Supercell is working on improving Power Points and the level-up system to satisfy both new casual players and dedicated try-hards like me.
October 2025: Revamping the Map Maker
The October 2025 update will be the last update for 2025 where the devs plan to overhaul the Map Maker. According to Supercell, the current Map Maker is far from what they planned. They want to make it easy for us to share maps and make them playable with codes like Fortnite.
There will be more options instead of just creating maps, but will also include new custom game modes and different activities giving you a sandbox feel.
This wraps up the Brawl Stars Roadmap for 2024 and 2025. Iām excited about all the upcoming updates, especially the new collaborations coming to the game. Supercell will be hosting another Brawl Talk soon, where we can expect more details about these plans.
