Best Sparkle Light Cones in Honkai: Star Rail
In the Penacony world of Honkai: Star Rail, players encounter numerous characters, among them Sparkle, who stands out as one of the first playable characters available from version 2.0 update and onwards. Sparkle possesses unique Harmony abilities that make her valuable in teams requiring heavy skill point usage, such as those featuring characters like Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae or Qingque. Additionally, Sparkle shares similarities with Bronya, offering abilities like increasing allies’ Crit DMG, advancing them forward, and boosting overall damage output. Due to her versatility, she can seamlessly integrate into various team compositions.
Honkai: Star Rail’s Light Cones Have One Big Disadvantage Over Genshin Impact’s Weapons
For Honkai: Star Rail, there is something that the game is missing out on that Genshin Impact already has, and it takes a little away from its fun.
Building Sparkle in Honkai: Star Rail is relatively straightforward, focusing primarily on Crit DMG and Speed as her main stats, with some flexibility for other attributes. Light cones, especially for Harmony characters like Sparkle, prioritize enhancing the entire team’s performance rather than solely boosting her stats as they would typically do so for DPS-oriented characters, except for her signature light cone. Consequently, several 4-star light cone options function similarly, though some may offer more benefits in specific team compositions than others.

After entering battle, increases the ATK of all allies by 12%. Effects of the same type cannot stack. |
For players who are just starting and don’t have access to higher rarity options, Chorus can work as the best 3-star light cone option for Sparkle, since it can increase the ATK of all allies, which will be generally useful for most DPS options, except for a few outliers like Blade.

When the wearer uses their Ultimate, all allies’ actions are Advanced Forward by 16%. |
Sparkle’s ability to Advance Forward an ally by 50% after using her skill opens up opportunities for synergies with other methods, such as this light cone, of manipulating the turn order. This synergy can prove particularly beneficial in endgame content like Memory of Chaos or Pure Fiction, where maximizing actions within the same turn is crucial. To consistently benefit from this effect, players must ensure that Sparkle can activate her Ultimate frequently, which necessitates some Energy Regeneration in her kit. However, given the inherent value of her Ultimate ability, this requirement shouldn’t pose a significant concern solely for this light cone.

After the wearer uses a certain type of ability such as Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate, all allies gain Childishness, which increases allies’ DMG for the same type of ability as used by the wearer by 20%. Childishness only takes effect for the most recent type of ability the wearer used and cannot be stacked. |
One of the newly added F2P light cones, Dreamville Adventure, can prove quite useful when paired with Sparkle and characters that heavily rely on specific aspects of their kit, such as Seele’s Skill or Imbibitor Lunae’s Basic Attack. Both of these characters are excellent candidates to pair with Sparkle. However, players must ensure proper balance in the speed order and actions between Sparkle and the DPS character to maximize effectiveness.

One of the following effects is applied randomly at the start of combat and whenever the wearer takes action: Increase all allies’ ATK by 10%, increase all allies’ CRIT DMG by 12%, or increase all allies’ Energy Regeneration Rate by 6%. The applied effect cannot be identical to the last effect applied, and will replace the previous effect. The applied effect will be removed when the wearer has been knocked down. Effects of the similar type cannot be stacked. |
A generally useful light cone, “Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds,” can also be a good option for those who do not mind purchasing the battle pass. Its effect is quite randomized, offering ATK, Crit DMG, or Energy Regeneration Effect. Each of these bonuses, especially Crit DMG or ER, can be quite useful for Sparkle herself, making this light cone a worthwhile consideration, particularly if there are no other Harmony characters like Tingyun available to make better use of it.

Upon battle entry, if an ally deals the same DMG Type as the wearer, DMG dealt increases by 12%. |
Considering that one of Sparkle’s ascension traits allows her to increase the Quantum DMG of all allies based on the number of Quantum characters in the team, she is also an excellent enabler for mono-Quantum teams. In this regard, if players are considering using Sparkle with characters like Qingque or Seele, particularly combined with others like Silver Wolf, the “Planetary Rendezvous” light cone can further increase the DMG dealt by these characters. This synergy becomes even more significant when Sparkle is also equipped with the Penacony, Land of Dreams planar ornament set.

When the wearer uses their Skill, then the next ally taking action (except the wearer) deals 32% increased DMG for 1 turn(s). |
Another great F2P lightcone option is “Past and Future” since it can further increase the next ally’s DMG. As long as the DPS character targeted is not too low on the action order due to low speed, as Sparkle can advance them forward, they should be able to make good use of this lightcone relatively consistently.
2 But the Battle Isn’t Over

Increases the wearer’s Energy Regeneration Rate by 10% and regenerates 1 Skill Point when the wearer uses their Ultimate on an ally. This effect can be triggered after every 2 uses of the wearer’s Ultimate. When the wearer uses their Skill, the next ally taking action (except the wearer) deals 30% more DMG for 1 turn(s). |
Considering that Bronya and Sparkle do have quite some similarities, it also makes sense that “But the Battle Isn’t Over” can be a good option to further generate Skill Points for the team, while also increasing the Energy Regeneration for Sparkle to ensure she can activate her Ultimate as often as possible. For the last bit, it works quite similarly to “Past and Future” since it also is related to dealing more DMG after Sparkle uses her skill. However, it’s worth mentioning that it is not worth for players to consider purchasing this light cone with starglitter for Sparkle specifically if they don’t have access to one already.
1 Earthly Escapade

Increases the wearer’s CRIT DMG by 32%. At the start of the battle, the wearer gains Mask, lasting for 3 turn(s). While the wearer has Mask, the wearer’s allies have their CRIT Rate increased by 10% and their CRIT DMG increased by 28%. For every 1 Skill Point the wearer recovers (including Skill Points that exceed the limit), they gain 1 stack of Radiant Flame. And when the wearer has 4 stacks of Radiant Flame, all the stacks are removed, and they gain Mask, lasting for 4 turn(s). |
Sparkle’s signature light cone, “Earthly Escapade,” is her best light cone option and an excellent addition to her already powerful kit. This is because not only does it increase Sparkle’s Crit DMG to further boost the team’s overall damage output, but she will also be able to enhance the Crit Rate and Crit DMG of other allies even further. While this effect only lasts for 3 turns, she can easily maintain this effect almost permanently thanks to her ability to recover Skill Points. However, even for other Harmony characters, this can be a valuable light cone in battles that don’t last over 3 turns, serving as a significant stat boost for Harmony users to enhance the DPS and sub-DPS characters in the team.
