The base station can hold 4.5l of clean water, so the bot will always have a fresh supply — it just needs to dock. Best of all, the L30 Ultra cleans its mop pads with hot water at 135°F before and after each mopping session.
What we like most about the L30 Ultra is that it uses an AI-assisted camera to differentiate rooms and detect dirt. However, on several occasions the bot circled back and redid some areas it had already cleaned. It did this even on spotlessly clean sections, so Dreametech needs to tweak the sensors to control the L30 Ultra’s perfectionist behavior.
Battery performance is great, with the 6,400mAh power unit giving you about 3 hours of cleaning time, depending on the suction and mopping mode you are using. The D9 Max is rather unique compared to most robot vacs with a similar design, sporting a hybrid roller brush made of rubber with bristles. This enables it to pick hair from carpets and hard surfaces with just a few passes.
However, the bristles can be a deal-breaker when vacuuming long strands of hair. We had to manually pull out some of the hair from the bristles to allow the brush to roll smoothly. On the plus side, this robot vacuum delivers 4,000Pa suction, which is quite impressive for its size. The 570ml dust bin is not the largest and will require frequent emptying when covering large areas. And the 270ml water tank enables you to mop about 1,500 square feet of floor space with a single refill. You can also adjust the water flow according to your cleaning needs.
With its 5,200mAh battery, the D9 Max can clean nonstop for 150 minutes. It may run for a longer or shorter time depending on the mode of operation, but this shouldn’t worry you much since the bot can move to the charging station on its own. The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni is slightly cheaper than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, but the two robot vacuums perform almost the same, with the X2 Omni delivering better results when lifting debris off hard surfaces. This is mainly because it generates 8,000Pa of suction compared to the S8 Pro’s 6,000Pa. Unlike most robot vacuums, the X2 Omni doesn’t have the LiDAR dome protruding at the top, meaning it can easily clean under most furniture.
Interestingly, this bot only has a single rubber roller brush, but still does a good job removing pet hair from carpets and hard floors. The charging dock has a 3l dust bag that Ecovacs claims can hold dirt for about 60 days. We didn’t have enough debris to fill it up, despite having two high-shedding dog breeds and using the bot thrice a week for seven weeks. This may, however, vary based on how often you use the vacuum cleaner and the amount of debris picked up per cleaning session.
The 6,400mAh battery keeps the bot powered for about 3 hours, depending on the cleaning mode that is in use. We were able to vacuum and mop roughly 1,200 square feet of floor space with the bot docking only once for a charge. The onboard sensors ensure the X2 Omni applies the ideal suction power and lifts its mopping pads when needed. The vacuum also uses Yiko, a smart voice assistant from Ecovacs, and the Ecovacs Home app provides cleaning data, floor space covered, and other useful information that’ll help you get the best out of the Deebot X2 Omni.

Although the vacuum employs random navigation, it offers good coverage and can clean 1,290 square feet of floor space in less than 2 hours.
Since it does not have a roller brush, the V5s Plus can lift hair without getting tangled. This, however, limits it from picking hair deeply embedded in carpets and rugs.
