The Souls of enemy champions that die within 3 seconds of being damaged by Viego become Wraiths that remain in place for 8 seconds. Viego can channel for 1 second to possess them for 10 seconds. During possession:

  • Becomes Untargetable
  • Gains a free cast of Heartbreaker
  • Gains 10% bonus Movement speed when moving towards enemy champions.
  • Gains access to the Possessed champion’s Basic abilities, attacks, and items.
  • Heals for a % of the target’s max Health

Skill 1 – Blade of the Ruined King

  • Passive: Attacks deal bonus physical damage equal to 3% of the target’s current Health. After damaging an enemy with an ability. Viego’s first attack against them within 5 seconds strikes twice, dealing physical damage equal to 20% of AD and healing himself for 135% of the damage dealt. Passive bonuses are kept during Possession.
  • Active: Stabs forward, dealing physical damage. The ability’s cast time reduces with Attack speed.

Skill 2 – Spectral Maw

  • Charge: Gathers Black Mist and charges up for up to 3 seconds, slowing himself by 10% during this period.
  • Cast: Dashes forward and hurls the ball of gathered Black Mist, dealing Magic damage to the first enemy hit and stunning them for 0.25 – 1.25 seconds (Based on charge time)

Skill 3 – Harrowed Path

Viego sends forth a specter to haunt the first terrain hit with Black Mist for 8 seconds. While inside the Black Mist, Viego becomes Camouflaged and gains 20% Movement speed and 35% Attack speed. On killing an enemy target with this skill, the skill’s cooldown refreshes, and the mana cost is also refunded.

Skill 4 – Heartbreaker

Teleports to a target location, dealing physical damage to all champions in the area. Deals bonus damage equal to the % of the target’s missing health to the enemy champion with the lowest percentage of Health, slowing them by 99% for 0.25 seconds and knocking back nearby enemies.

Coupled with the powerful copy-like ability from Viego’s passive, Viego is highly capable of bursting down enemy Champion targets especially with his powerful Ultimate ability.

Players are recommended to use Viego in the Jungle lane as he is a very powerful Assassin-role champion. Players could also choose to use him in the Solo lane as he also performs well against lone targets. Thus, his Battle item setup remains similar in general. League of Legends: Wild Rift Viego Gameplay Tips

Viego is a powerful Assassin role champion who can easily deal enormous damage to enemy champions to take them down and turn them into his Wraiths. Due to his skill set and hero style, it is highly recommended to go to Jungle Lane with Viego.

Wild Rift’s map is mirrored, so it is necessary to understand the map side before laning. According to her gameplay, we can break it down into three phases. Our League of Legends: Wild Rift guide for Viego includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid, and late games.

Early Game

Players can buy a long sword at first and place a ward in the bushes near the buff so one can be alerted beforehand, just in case an enemy invades your jungle. If no enemy is around, start taking down the jungle monsters. It is advisable to unlock Viego’s first skill and start clearing jungle monsters by starting with the Red Brambleback before proceeding to the Blue Sentinel.

Clearing the camps in the order of Red Brambleback, Raptors, Wolves, Blue Buff, and Scuttle Crab. This rotation allows the player to level up and farm quickly, gain gold, whilst securing your buffs from any potential enemy invasion.

On clearing out the jungle, players could either rotate to invade the enemy jungle or help gank with an enemy side laner. With that simple jungle rotation technique, players should have unlocked the ultimate. Players should return to the base to get some pre-core items before larger monsters like Rift Herald and Dragon spawn.

Players should not conserve Smite, try to maximize it to slay strong jungle monsters especially when an enemy is contesting it. Players must note that it’s much advised to prioritize and secure the Rift Herald, as its perks and rewards are more overall beneficial for the team. To easily perform in the early game, one must use the following combo:

Skill 2 + Skill 3 + Skill 1

This Combo allows Viego to follow up by Camouflaging himself amid his Second skill and then proceed to slay his enemies with attacks from his first skill and basic attacks.

Mid Game

On taking down main Jungle objectives like the Rift Herald, the allies would be granted lots of gold. Players should further utilize the Herald to take down an enemy turret, granting them extra gold necessary to easily buy and purchase some of your core build items.

With at least, two Damage items one can easily kite and takedown the squishy enemy champions from a distance. To achieve that, one must prioritize aiming at the enemy team’s main ADC as well as suitable heroes to become his wraith. That is, prioritizing enemy champions with high damage or CC skills from their first 3 skills can be quite essential in taking down multiple enemy champions. Nonetheless, one must not forget that prioritizing enemy main ADC heroes would deter enemies farming as killing them will make the enemy fall behind in terms of gold and XP.

Players should also try and utilize Viego’s camouflage perk from his third skill to ambush enemy targets that might just be on his trail. To easily burst down enemy ADC in the Mid or late game, one must use the following combo:

Skill 4 + Skill 1 + Skill 2 + Skill 3 + Skill 1

Late Game

With all the necessary items with you, you’re now capable of easily bursting down and taking down enemy mages, marksmen, and assassins with a perfectly timed camouflage combo. But keep in mind, enemy champions are also quite as powerful so properly time the use of the Stasis enchants especially when facing a high burst damage dealer. Since positioning yourself matters the most, one must not engage alone.

One should also prioritize taking objectives like securing and taking down Epic monsters like Baron Nashor and the Elder Dragons to give your team the upper hand each match.

Final Thoughts

Judging by his skill info and builds, Viego is undoubtedly a strong Assassin champion who can easily burst down enemy champions whilst utilizing their wraiths to even takedown more enemy champions. His passive is indeed annoying to deal with on the rift.
