Dhow

The Dhow is the one and only Extra Small-sized ship, and is given to the player for free in the beginning hours of the game. It’s a base level 1 ship that doesn’t have any weapon slots or the option to place any furniture. Considering its limitations, you should be eager to replace this ship with a better one at your earliest opportunity.

Even with all its disadvantages, there is one saving grace: it can navigate small passageways that many other ships can’t. It also comes equipped with the Hunter Perk, allowing you to preserve wildlife materials from hunting.

Rammer, The Bedar

The Bedar is a base level 1 small-sized ship that excels in head-to-head combat, thanks to its accompanying perk, the Lancer. This perk allows the Rammer to specialize in precisely what you would expect, given its name. Bonuses granted by the Lancer perk include:

  • A 15% increase in damage done via ramming.
  • A 50% reduction in the slowing effects applied by torn sails.
  • Applies Flooded effect to rammed enemy ships.

You can further enhance the Bedar’s stats by adding weapons, furniture, and armor.

The blueprint for the Bedar can be obtained in two ways. The first method is to purchase it from the Shipwright in Sainte Anne for 660 Silver. The second method is by earning it as a reward for completing the “A Seaworthy Ship” quest in Sainte Anne. To craft the Rammer, you will need the following resources:

  • Jute x20
  • Acacia x10
  • Bog Iron x8
  • Silver x360
